Welcome to Karmê Chöling

Karmê Chöling will be closed to all visitors August 5-14, 2022 while we host Family Camp. Please come and visit us another time.

Karmê Chöling is happy to announce that we are reopening to Day Visitors. Considering the ongoing concern with COVID-19 we are taking a cautious and measured approach. We ask that you contact our Front Desk to make arrangements before you arrive and be sure to read our current COVID policy before planning your next visit.

Karmê Chöling is a community of practitioners in rural Vermont who share a common conviction in the basic goodness of all beings. Residents quarantine a short time before entering the Main House, where we live mask-free as a household. We feed ourselves much of the year from a one-acre organic garden, have twice-daily meditation sessions and frequent opportunities to study the dharma — in groups and independently.
