Payment Policy
Paying for Programs
- To hold your spot in a program and put you in the queue for housing assignment, a deposit or full payment is required at the time you register.
- More than two weeks before the start of the program:
If registering more than two weeks before the program start date, a deposit of 50% of the total price is required. The total price includes the program price and the price of your first choice for accommodations. - Less than two weeks before the start of the program:
If registering within two weeks of the program start date, 100% of the total program price is required. The total price includes the program and your first choice for accommodations.
- More than two weeks before the start of the program:
- Outstanding balances are due two weeks before the program start date.
- A $50 charge will be added to your balance for:
- Failure to pay your outstanding balance in full by two weeks prior to the program start date. This does not apply to materials fees, housing changes, or if you already have a payment plan approved and in place.
- Registering for a program on or after the program arrival day.
- If you have an existing outstanding balance or a payment plan in process, you are required to pay for the new program in full no later than two weeks prior to the program arrival date.
- Financial aid or scholarships must be approved and in place two weeks before the program
Program Credit
- If using existing program credit to pay for your program:
- You must pre-register at least two weeks before the start of the program by contacting the KCL Front Desk.
- Program credit can be applied to the program tuition, accommodations, materials fee and food.
- Program credit can not be used on or after arrival day.
Payment Plan
An interest-free payment plan is available to anyone who requests one. Installments vary based on individual need. The guidelines for establishing a payment plan are as follows:
- Payment plans must be established no later than two weeks prior to the program arrival date.
- A deposit in the amount of 50% of the full program price is required before or at the time of requesting a payment plan.
- Payments are made in monthly installments and must be completed within 6 months from the time the payment plan begins.
- To be eligible for a payment plan, any and all outstanding balances must be paid and any previous payment plans should be paid off.
- Participants who do not meet these eligibility requirements must pay for any new program in full no later than two weeks prior the start of the program.
- Contact the KCL Front Desk to arrange a payment plan.
Cancellation Policy – Programs

- More than two weeks before the start of the program:
- 5% of the program/accommodations deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee
- The rest of the deposit (95%) will be refunded
- 100% of any amount paid above the deposit will be refunded
- Less than two weeks before the start of the program:
- 15% of the program/accommodations deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee
- The rest of the deposit (85%) will be held as credit towards future programs and accommodations
- 100% of any amount paid above the deposit will be held as credit towards future program and accommodations
- Program credit will expire two years from the date of cancellation
- On or after the start date of the program:
- The program/accommodations deposit is not refundable or transferable
- Any amount paid above the deposit will be held as credit towards a future program and accommodations.
- Program credit will expire two years from the date of cancellation
- More than two weeks before the start of the program:
Cancellation Policy – Retreat Cabins

- A $35 fee will be charged for the following:
- All cancellations
- A change in retreat dates by one month or more
- Deposits and payments are refundable up to six weeks prior to the program start date minus the $35 cancellation fee.
- For cancellations within six weeks of the retreat start date deposits are non-refundable except under extenuating circumstances (such as illness or death in the family), in which case the deposit can be applied as transferable credit or be refunded to you.
- A $35 fee will be charged for the following:
- No refunds or credits are given for cancellations on or after arrival day.
