Located in Barnet, VT in the heart of Vermont’s “Northeast Kingdom”, Karmê Chöling was the first land center established by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche 49 years ago. Nestled in the Vermont hills, where drala descends to the meadows above and the river below, this powerful place is the spot where the teachings of the Kagyü, Nyingma and Shambhala lineages were revealed to Western students by Trungpa Rinpoche and his son, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Here, Dharma has been transmitted by countless teachers who have offered wisdom and clarity for the benefit of humankind.
The community, including all who visit or have connections to Karmê Chöling, is united by a shared commitment to creating a compassionate, sustainable, and just human society. The culmination is a shared living and working experience of Enlightened Society within the Shambhala Vision.
Would you like to help continue the creation of Enlightened Society at Karmê Chöling? Would you like to take up the leadership reins of this essential and magical land center? Are you drawn to living and working in a community of practitioners? Do you have inspiration for magnetizing teachers, students, dralas, and wealth to this place of dharma? If the answer to these questions is yes, please read on.
